Ruby Tuesday #2 and an award to share ...

Make Time for Small Reflections
If you're looking for Fun Monday, it's just below this one.
This is my 2nd ...
My new little red cell phone with
Molly's photo outside and Ms. Kitty's inside
a few fresh strawberries from my garden ... yum ;--)
some members of the Red Hat Society ...
Click for others participating in Ruby Tuesday this week.
~ ~ ~
Kitten of Kitten's Homeschool
gave me THIS award for Small Reflections today.
I apologize for not following 'the rulez' ...
(I've never been too good at that)
I'd like to share it with everyone on any
of my Blogrolls and all those I visit regularly
(Come on ... you know who you are)
Small Reflections ... Smile Back
Thought for Today
Yez ... I've shared this one before, but it bears repetition ... just because.

"To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting." e. e. cummings, 1955
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I know this isn't RED ... and
I have no clue who gave me this 'kitty' ... but I love it!

Whoever leaves me a comment below
is welcome to 'snag' & share it
with my gratitude ...
for comments ALWAYS make me smile ;--)

I surely enjoyed the e.e. cummings quote, Storyteller. :)

The desire that my children be "themselves" was one reason that I home schooled them for so many years, yet now the older ones sometimes think they are too different from others. I don't agree with them, but it makes me a little sad, nonetheless.

(I'm a little bit behind on commenting; sorry. Life is zooming just now.)

Hey, Storyteller!!
These are 3 great choices for RT... and those strawberries really make me want some. Mmmmmmm.

Congrats on the award.

I think I'll take you up on your offer and 'borrow' your smiling cat.

Have a wonderful day!!

I love strawberries! They're a spring fruit here in Israel though. Our season is long gone.

l love the ladies with red hats even though I'm not a hat person mainly because they look better on other people. Just need some clotted cream and scones to go with those strawberries and you would have an english cream tea!

Love your phone! You are welcome and thank for always making me smile!

Oh boy, oh boy....strawberries? When's dinner at your house? I'll be right over for dessert. You say you're gonna make strawberry shortcakes, right? [kidding]

Love the phone photo...I have our little Tahoe kitty on mine. LOL

Have a terrific Tuesday dear storyteller.

I so need a new cell - yours look really spiffy!
Strawberries and a little sugar would be so good right now.
I have to admit that although not officially - I am a member of the red hat society and I can't wear pink! :)
You award is well deserved. I'm going to put Kitty in my sidebar with your name on it because your hugs and blessings always make me smile!

Ooooo...shiny pretty phone!

I LOVE the quote--most days it feels like a real battle for me--but I keep on fighting!

Mike Golch – I’m happy to know my little blog makes you smile … and delighted you’re going to snag and share the ‘kitty’ too.

Mojo – I’ve been meaning to start carrying my camera with me more often when I leave home so that I can ‘capture’ what I see to share on my blogs like this.

Mimi Lenox – I’m a ‘Red Hatter’ myself … and I’ve met some wonderful gals since joining a few years back after I retired … CERTAINLY … you’re welcome to fresh strawberries and freshly squeezed lemonade too.

DrillerAA – I have quite a collection of my own, but these were on others when I was out and about.

Ralph – We’re so fortunate here in Southern California to have such a LONG strawberry season.

Ettey and Bobbie - Thanks … I’m delighted you enjoyed them.

Lisa’s Chaos – I love my new little ‘ruby red’ phone … but the BEST part is that it was just $10 at Costco when I signed up for an account with Verizon at my local store. Pretty nifty!

Norm – I’m delighted you enjoyed my ‘ruby red’ photos …and thanks for leaving the links. I’ll be visiting blogs as soon as I finish responding to comments here.

Joyce – I’m glad you enjoyed the quote and fully understand BUSY. Thanks for finding time to drop by and say hello. I’m sure your kids will be just fine … and appreciate all you’ve done for them eventually.

TNChick – As I mentioned to Ralph … we’re so fortunate in California to have such a long season for so many delicious things.

Alice – I appreciate the positive feedback and am delighted you’re going to ‘borrow’ the smiling cat.

Robin – I guess I’m just ‘spoiled’ being the native Californian I am … and I’ll try to be all the more appreciative of my good fortune.

Judy’s Teapot – Initially, I felt strange donning a red hat when wearing purple … but the friendly reactions of folks I meet has helped me get over the ‘embarrassment’ … so now I just enjoy the whole experience. A spot of ‘tea’ and some scones would taste delightful with my strawberries and cream.

Kitten – You’re quite welcome. I’m delighted to know you find things to smile about whenever you visit. I love the nifty award and feel honored you thought of me.

Hootin’ Anni - It’s funny … I tend to eat my strawberries either with cereal or as a snack rather than as ‘dessert’ … but my mom used to make the BEST shortcake ever!!! It’s been a while since I even thought of that ;--)

Ivanhoe – My old phone didn’t have a camera … and I didn’t really WANT a camera in my new phone, but now that I have one … I have surprised myself by using it now and again already and it’s fun to have the fur-critters photos with me always.

Akelamalu – Thanks … and THANKS … and uh oh. I guess it depends on the ‘meme’ … but I’ll check it out and let you know. LOL

Yen - yez … yummy for sure! Wonderful with peaches and bananas too.

Tammy – Interestingly, in my experience … most folks DO smile when they see Red Hats ;--)

SassyMamaBear – Thanks … and I’m honored for sure. I always enjoy dropping by the Café … and enjoy the ‘creative’ things you include in your posts.

Carletta – In one of the Red Hat groups I belong to, we have some members under 50 who wear lavender with PINK hats. It’s always fun to have some ‘youngster’ join us in this way … Red Hatters ‘in training’ ya know. I still wear pink when I’m not hanging out with my Red Hat friends because I like the color.

Raven – Thanks … I’m glad you found what I shared today of interest ;--)

Karen – I feel pretty lucky about the ‘ruby red’ phone for the reasons I shared above when commenting to Lisa. I do know what you mean. Fighting takes so much energy. Sometimes I think it may be time to simply ‘embrace’ and ‘be with’ it all while releasing the ‘struggle’ … holding on to myself w/o engaging in ‘battle’ … though methinks it’s easier to do this now that I live alone.

To all – I appreciate each of you visiting and sharing your reactions to my Ruby Tuesday post today. I plan to do some blog visiting in a little while now that I’m home from my PSE6 class so I’ll do my best to drop by your blogs … if not today, then tomorrow for sure. I hope you’re all having a good week.
Hugs and blessings,

I've been out of town for a week. It's nice to get home and visit all my buddies again. I, too, have a new red phone. Not as red as yours, though. I love my new phone. You are so nice to share your awards. I'll stop back in tomorrow to do some snagging. Right now I'm ready to go to bed.

Sandy (of Momisodes) – Thanks! The week has zoomed by and I’m looking forward to some ‘down time’ this weekend. I hope you’ll be able to find some ‘alone time’ for yourself in the midst of YOUR busy life with family visiting.

Minkydo – They are delicious ;--)

Eve – Welcome back and thanks for dropping by! I tried to leave a comment at your blog today, but it wouldn’t let me do so without a Wordpress ID. What’s up with that?

Vixen – I wasn’t sure about the color when I first got it, but now I love it too ;--)

Colleen – How interesting! Seems like RUBY TUESDAY would be a perfect activity for you … at least occasionally.

To all – Thanks for dropping by and sharing your thoughts here at Small Reflections. Hope you had a fantastic Friday and that the weekend is a wonderful one.
Hugs and blessings,
