I hope you enjoy your visit. If you're looking for something specific, check out the links to posts by category in my sidebar and down a ways. They'll assist with tracking down different types of posts found on each of my three blogs. You might also enjoy checking out the other sites: Sacred Ruminations, Blog Rolls, Bling & Blurbs, and Happily Retired Gal.

I hope you'll look around & leave comments
then visit me at my new blog ...

and/or website ... Labyrinth Journal
both self-hosted at WordPress
where I publish as myself
rather than under a
pseudonym.

I've not had much time for posting or blog visits, but if you're interested I hope you'll find time to check out my new blog, Giraffe Journal or my Labyrinth Journal website ... both self hosted at WordPress.

Thanks for your visit and have a delightful day ;--)

Saturday Surprises

I do realize that Valentine's Day has come & gone so I'm late with these, but it seems "the hurrieder I go the behinder I get" no matter what. Today I'm choosing to subscribe to the "better late than never" theory, so please bear with me.

Mary passed along these Valentine Awards (created & bestowed upon her by Hootin' Anni) along at her Writing Nook to her friends and, I'd like to share them with mine. It's still February ... so I plan to add them to my sidebar and enjoy them throughout the remainder of the month before moving them to an awards page I've been meaning to create. I hope you enjoy them too, albeit belatedly.

At the same time, Mary initiated the following award to share with "a few people who have touched her heart in a special way."
I'm honored to be included among the recipients of this lovely treasure and I'd like to share it with the following friends here in the virtual world (listed alphabetically). I've got my fingers crossed than I didn't leave anyone out. I appreciate your visits to my blogs and enjoy my visits to yours. In just a few months you've each become a special part of my "virtual" life online, and I wish each of you lived close enough to get together for real.

Eve at Adamswife's Weblog
His Girl Friday
at Wellied on Life
Joy at The Joy of Six
Lucy at Diamonds in the Sky and Lucy Creates
Kara at Spiritdoll
(even though you're not blogging currently)
Karen at Journey to Authenticity
Mother of Invention at Spilling Out!
MPJ at A Room of Mama's Own
Peajay at Mórán cainte ar bheagán cúise
Sandy of Momisodes
Yertle at Smile, Play, Dream
Yolanda at Perfectly Imperfect

The following two awards also came from Mary who is one of the most caring and generous women I've encountered online. Just as she offered this "Toadally Awesome" award to everyone on HER blogroll, I'd like to share it with everyone on mine. In addition, I'd like to use this as an opportunity to bring my Blogroll up to date, so if you're a regular reader and I haven't added you ... please send me email or leave a comment so I can remedy that situation.

Because I use Google Reader, I don't rely on my own Blogroll to find you, but I'd like my readers to be able to find one another. I need your help to make that happen because "I'm not perfect & I know I never will be." Just this past week I posted on Wednesday using "Tuesday" in the title. Sigh! What's more ... no one mentioned it (bless your hearts for being kind, but I do "get by with a bit of help from my friends" as in the Beatles song) so it took me a couple of days to discover and fix the error.

Just because you're passing through today (and have managed to read through all this to reach this final "Cool Cat" award ... this one is for EVERYONE whether or not you've visited before.

I appreciate all who visit here and/or at Sacred Ruminations where I've left another award bestowed upon that blog by Lucy.

So it is that I've saved this final very special award for Mary.
It was given to me recently by Joy, and I kept it for myself initially ... intending to pass it along at the right moment. Methinks this is that moment. In addition to her usual blogging activities, Mary has been sharing bits of information about Canadian Black History during February in honor of Black History Month and advocating acts of Everyday Kindness ... encouraging her readers to do likewise.

For all you do for everyone,
thank you Mary ...

You're truly one in a million!

Thought for today

Thank you so much for the Friends Award--it's amazing how much closer blogging bring us (and everyone, in fact) together. For reserved people like me, it really helps to open my world. I'm so grateful to have met you in Taos, and to still have you in my life!

Neat! You find the coolest things. That cool cat is cute.

Karen – You’re quite welcome. I feel much the same way that you do about meeting you in Taos and extending the connection through blogging.

Kelly – Thanks! I’m glad you think so. As Karen mentioned, the array of connections in the Blogosphere is rich indeed! My challenge currently is balancing my online and real world activities.

Thanks to both of you for visiting today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

You’re more than welcome and there’s another surprise waiting for you at Sacred Ruminations, although it’s possible you’ve found it already too. I meant to get around to let folks know, but life got busy yesterday. I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend with that “teddy bear” of yours.

Virginia,

You are certainly deserving of all the awards you've received and you've chosen great recipients as well.

I am touched by the beautiful award that you presented to me. I love it and will display it proudly on my sidebar and my awards page. Thank you so much for the kind words and thank you for being such a wonderful friend.

Blessings and hugs,
Mary

Mama Zen – Thanks … and I hope you “snagged” a few to pass along to your readers and display on your blog.

Mary – Thanks for the feedback about the quote. I try to include something to think about each day, though sometimes I forget. I so appreciate your generosity and am delighted to share the “Gratitude” award with you.

Akelamalu – Thanks. I’m still laughing at the joke you shared at your blog and impressed at your “Vogue” photo!

I hope you’re all enjoying your Sunday.

Thank you so much for spotting me and passing on this award. You have so much happening on your blogs and in such a short time! You amaze me! There's gotta be an award for that! I'm not one for making them, but that's what I'd give you!

Annie – I love visiting your blog though more often than not I read you in Google Reader when rushed for time … visiting only when I have time to comment and something to share. Your photos are stunning always, but this week’s were amazing.

MoI – I’m happy to share. Actually I don’t know how to make these awards myself (though I would like to learn). Fortunately people give them to me … and I love passing them along.

Joy – You’re welcome and thanks. I’ve sent the HTML code in email so that should help. If it doesn’t, let me know and I’ll do what I can.

Thanks for visiting. Hugs and blessings to everyone!

Thanks so much. I agree that my blog friends are such an important part of my life. I think I miss that the most when I don't have time to blog.

Yertle – You’re ever so welcome. It’s amazing to me how wonderfully rich this virtual world is, and I’m delighted to have entered it at last … to meet bloggers like your self … share a bit of myself finally … learn new things … and explore ideas. I’ve learned it can be rather “addicting” … that sometimes time constraints limit my online activities … and yet how nifty to be able to connect with people all over the world in this manner from the comfort of our own homes. I do feel blessed to have encountered you and so many others in the Blogosphere. Perhaps one day we’ll find ourselves in the same place at the same time and meet for real. Stranger things have happened.
