Springtime Arrives Early in Southern California

Make Time for Small Reflections
Scroll down for Camera Critters & Pet Pride

but first, belatedly ...

the week got away
from me celebrating my
birthday with my sis

but I've decided
to participate in these
three memes anyway

1. It's still February and much of the nation is experiencing more snowy weather, yet (much to my surprise) purple iris and yellow crocus (Ooops ... methinks they might be FREESIA rather than crocus) have burst forth into bloom already in my front yard ...

2. My recently cut back rose bushes are already coming back with new growth.

3. The amaryllis bulbs are beginning to put up shoots ... and one gladiola too.

4. My neighbor's well-established potted cactus provides a preview of what's to come ...

with my own below ...

5. Although some of my newly planted pansies are struggling in all the rain we've had recently, others are doing well ...

Sassy relaxing
in the sun on the parkway ...
too tired to play

This year my sister

get together after my
morning class to walk

with our cameras
beach & pier ... snapping photos
(weather permitting)

ending up at Duke's

'Barefoot Bar' to celebrate
late this afternoon ...

yummy fish tacos
Margarita on the rocks
Hula Pie to share

Did I mention how

much I love to read, write and
share my photographs?
