Haiku Friday #51 - Ups & Downs ... and Ups

HF#50, OSI Week 17 and 40PC#9 are at
Sacred Ruminations today.
Sharing what's on my mind today ...

Computer Issues - ups & downs
Yesterday I found
an email from Dell that said
shipping's been delayed

on my new laptop
and although I'd suspected
problems ... I was 'bummed'

but this morning there's
a new email stating that
it's been shipped! Hooray!

Apparently a
fire in a battery
plant in early March

created a few
problems for the company
they've not talked about

when accepting new
orders from their customers ...
Last night I wondered

if I'd made a huge
error ... but today all's well.
Funny how life goes.

As for Wimbledon
What a week it's been!
I'm still watching yesterday's
tennis matches and

just saw Maria
lose to Kudryavtseva
in the 2nd round.

James Blake now out too
also Novak Djokovic
and apparently

Andy Roddick lost
to Tipsarevic after
winning the 1st set ...

That's the match that I'm
watching currently because
I'm quite far behind

due to my classes
and a jazz concert last night
I attended with

a friend I'd not seen
in a LONG time. It was well
past eleven when

I returned home so
this morning I'm 'dragging' just
a bit ... creating

my Haiku today,
but at least I've got the day
at home to catch up.

I hope your laptop gets there soon! Gosh, it sure is taking forever. I have no patience and had to just go buy mine off the shelf the day I decided for sure I was getting one. :)

Monica at Transplanting Me
I’m soooo looking forward to it’s arrival! This old laptop is TIRED and frequently BALKS at what I ask it to do … as it did when I tried to leave a comment on your Haiku post earlier. Hopefully I’ll be able to do that successfully later. As for tennis, I’m an ‘avid fan’ of the major Championships … and this one has had some exciting upsets already!

Karen of Sillymonkeez – Wouldn’t THAT be a happy turn of events! Thanks for holding the good thought for a quick arrival. I’m thrilled to know it’s on the way.

Maggie – Yup … seems like it’s been a LONG time since I placed the order, but I’m relieved to know it’s been shipped after the downer of yesterday morning’s email stating it wouldn’t ship until July 3rd.

Vixen – I’m dancing for joy (and singing a happy song) just thinking about it ;--)

Akelamalu – Yes … and soon I should be able to visit blogs again w/o frustrating delays and hang-ups! I can hardly wait.

Sandy (of Momisodes) – Oh yez … it IS a joy to think about as I muddle through with this one overheating again today … causing a delayed posting at Sacred Ruminations and some ‘hassle’s with leaving comments.

To all - I appreciate all your enthusiastic celebration of my good fortune and hope you’re each having a fantastic Friday!

I know you will enjoy your new computer when it does arrive. I ordered one from them, and so far it has been a good one. I did have a little trouble with it when I first got it, but that worked itself out.

Have a good weekend.

Cathy – I’m pretty excited. According to an email from DHL, my laptop arrived in Riverside, CA from Sparks, NV late last night … so it could arrive today but should be here Monday for sure. I’m hoping for today ;--)

MPJ – You got THAT one right for sure! I’m hoping I’ll be able to catch up with blog visits once I get it up and running … giving this old workhorse a much needed rest!

Mike – I can’t really afford this new one myself, but if I’m going to continue to blog (and work with photos in PSE6) there really was no other choice because this old laptop is running on empty. I’m glad you’re able to access Small Reflections again now that I’ve moved my Blog Rolls and Bling to my 3rd blog.

Betty – I’ve been happy with the Dell I’m using currently and the service from them has been great throughout the past 6 years … so I’m hoping all will be well with the new one too.

I appreciate you all dropping by and sharing my excitement. Hope you each have a wonderful weekend!
