Your Camera-Critters post is adorable. Before we moved, we used to have a Cardinal that would come and bang on the windows of our home. My step-son hated that Cardinal because it would wake him up - I always told Step-Son that the Cardinal was trying to tell him that he shouldn't be sleeping after Noon ;-)

By the way, the Mr. Linky is over at http://camera-critters.blogspot.com. That's the official Camera-Critters blog. Some people were complaining and confused as to why I had Mr. Linky on my personal blogs too, so that's why I took them off and only have one at the CC blog. I've been signing people in each week if they weren't on the Linky on CC - so, I'll put you on there this week.

Misty Dawn – Thanks for your early visit. I love the story of your ‘Cardinal’ visitor & your son’s sleep habits … and appreciate the clarification about Mr. Linky with info about where the ‘official’ site is. I’m glad I asked and will fix the links in my post to reflect this … then I’ll be visiting others as planned. I’ll also check for last week because I’m sure I missed some posts because I used the links at your regular blog.
Happy Mother’s Day to you!

Claudia – Thanks for the visit and feedback. Some days I seem to be more ‘with it’ than others. For the life of me this morning I couldn’t remember the name of the river where we first ‘shot the rapids’ … but in talking with my sister on the phone a few minutes ago, ‘Deschutes’ came ‘trippingly off the tongue’ w/o thought. Go figure ;--)

i beati – Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed them.

Jean – I’ll be over in a little while to see your mutterings. One can always use a good laugh!

Imac – ‘twas my pleasure to visit … and I’m delighted you enjoyed MY odd bird collage this morning.

Through Thick and Thin – I’ve shared a variety of ‘happenings’ from this stretch of fence outside my kitchen window … but then I do spend time in my kitchen and keep my camera handy for ‘whatever’ transpires.

Shannon – Molly’s easily ‘bothered’ by cats, birds, and other ‘strangers’ … trespassing in or near ‘her’ yard ;--)

Princess Yaffa – Thanks … methinks some cheese & wine sounds good indeed … perhaps with a few crackers, apple slices, and other fresh fruit. It must be time for lunch ;--)

Thanks to each of you for visiting and sharing your thoughts. I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!

I have to say that I am so thankful for your Thought for Today. It's been such a crazy weekend with work, and that quote hits home in so many ways.

Thank you so much for sharing that today. It was exactly what I needed to see at the end of my day today.

Go ahead and sign me up for Fun Monday … and I’ll look forward to whatever ‘prompt’ you share. I’ll be over to check YOUR Fun Monday post when I finish responding to comments here ;--)

Skittles – Thanks! It’s my pleasure to share for Camera Critters.

David – You’re most welcome … and thanks for the return visit. Love the clever ‘quip’ about ‘window-shopping’ birds ;--)

Lovely little story !

We too have a bird that knocks on our window..luckily he isn't our alarm clock !!

storyteller said...

shubd – Thanks ;--)
Some of my neighbors complain about the birds waking them up, but since I awaken around 4am most days anyway … it’s no big thing for me. I just enjoy hearing them as I go about my morning routines. Many of us featured ‘birds’ this week. It must be ‘the season’ to notice them or something.

Thanks for visiting and leaving the link to your blog. Have a delightful day!

I love the pics--makes me think of the bird that keeps visiting my mom's kitchen window. It lands on the sill and pecks on the glass.

And I definitely want to play:

Track::Suit
Snake::Eyes
Assignment::Due
Blockbuster::Hit
Bombastic::Blow-hard
Adventure::Freedom
First time::Not your business (sorry--that just blurted right out;))
Aged::cheese
Grip::Get a
Shortcut::Hard way

Now I'm going back and reading your answers!

Karen – Birds can be entertaining can’t they? Thanks for ‘playing’ along with the ‘mutterings’ … I never cease to be amazed at the differences (and occasional similarities) of the responses people give to these weekly prompts. I especially enjoyed your responses to ‘snake’ … ‘bombastic’ … and ‘grip’ … Very cool ;--)

I’m reminded as I type this here that I left a very lengthy response to your question on my T-13 and I’m wondering if you saw it. I don't recall whether your Typepad account lets you get my responses in email or if you have to return to the post to see them? I can’t recall if I’ve ever asked you about this.

I hope all’s well with your and yours.

Tina – Ohmygosh!!! Here I thought I responded to all your comments earlier … but as I clear out my email box I keep finding more. Thanks so much for taking the time to read and respond to my posts. I hope you’ve checked the little box to receive follow up comments in email so you’re receiving my responses. It’s been fun for me to ‘revisit’ some of my older posts and read them again after some time has passed. Hope you’re having a wonderful Wednesday!

Storyteller,

I've begun to check the email box as of today! I hope I haven't caused you problems with my late posts. I really am going to try harder to stay current, or at least, closer to current! I do enjoy your posts. :-)

hugs,
Tina

Tina - That’s great (that you’re checking the box now) because you won’t miss my responses (nor need to visit yet again) to read them. As I said in my response to your 2nd comment on my Fun Monday #6 and Favorite Mug Meme post earlier this morning, whenever you have time to read and respond is fine with me. I’m just glad you enjoy my blog enough to take the time when it is available. We all get busy and make adjustments as needed. Hope you have a fabulous Friday!
