(Almost) WW/OSI - Week 11: Warm

ALMOST
(This makes #26 for me)

Week 11 - The prompt is Warm

What is warmer than
a young puppy looking for
a place to snuggle?

Who could resist these
canine visitors ... not me!
Each one tugs my heart ;--)

And here's one more for good measure ...

Is there something wrong
with this 'hunters' photo? Look
closely and you'll see ;--)

More than 'warm' it seems
this fox may be smarter than
'scent hounds' and hunters

or perhaps someone
decided to 'play' with the
'pix' digitally?

Great images. And I especially like the fox peeking out from among the hounds.

I love the quote--how true! It's amazing how gooshy I get looking at photos of little ones--it's surprising that I don't have a houseful of creatures!

These are lovely contributions, Storyteller! Who could resist those pups, indeed.

God bless.

What great fun these were. I enjoyed the fox among the hounds. The first haiku was my favorite. And of course all the cute puppies. Are you familiar with The Daily Puppy? If not, you would probably love it.

G'day Storyteller! Yep, I see that sly little creature amongst the poochies!!

These photos are terrific!

Through Thick and Thin – You’re certainly welcome. I keep the puppy ‘widget’ in my sidebar and occasionally ‘save’ the images when they’re just too cute to pass up.

Randall – I’m glad you enjoyed them. The ‘fox’ amidst the ‘hounds’ cracked me up when I discovered it and it seemed ‘perfect’ to share with this week’s OSI ‘warm’ theme.

Karen – I’m not sure I’ll ever go through ‘raising a puppy’ again after Molly taught me how old I really am a couple of years ago … but methinks I’ll always be drawn to puppies. As for the quote, living with dogs throughout my adult life I can attest to it’s accuracy.

SandyCarlson – Thanks … and I did post ‘another take’ on the ‘warm’ theme at Sacred Ruminations after you visited here.

Raven – I’m happy you enjoyed these photos and haiku today … and yes … I’ve got the Daily Puppy widget in my sidebar here at Small Reflections and took these 5 images from that source.

Hootin’ Anni – Thanks … I’m glad you liked the pictures I selected to share today.

Lisa Marie – I appreciate your enthusiasm! Thanks so much for stopping by.

How cool to find your comments already. I’ve not had a chance to do much ‘visiting’ yet since I took time to create a 2nd (almost) wordless OSI post for Sacred Ruminations after publishing this one … but when Molly and I return from our walk, I’ll be checking out what you and others have shared today. Happy Wednesday everyone!

My daughter wants a puppy in the worst way (she's 17) but our pet right now is a 14 year old cat who would NOT appreciate any competition. Great photos, especially sly fox!

The puppies are sooo cute! I love the fox in dog's clothing! :)

Hi Virginia,

Sorry I haven't visited you very often since I got back off my trip last Saturday. Takes me forever to get caught up with household chores after being gone from a trip not to mention errands I have to run away from the house. Anyway, I hope to be back to blogging and visiting on a regular basis soon.

I loved your WW photos. Such cute doggies.

You asked about the picture on my WW. Yes it is one I took while on our trip. I had never seen a hand at the top of a church steeple before and thought it worth posting for others to see.

Have a good day.

Hugs,
Betty

Aw cute puppies!!

Happy Wordless Wednesday!

Darling puppies! My girls want another puppy, but none of us has the time to properly care for and train a pup just now. We'll just have to love and enjoy our old doggie. :)

Hazel Nut – I know from experience what you mean about older cats not appreciating young canine ‘intruders’ … been there and done that myself. It is possible to make things work, but bear in mind that your 17 year old daughter will leave you with the dog when she goes off to college.

Akelamalu – I’m happy to share ;--)

Betty – Not to worry ... I fully understand! I’m a bit overloaded and I didn’t travel anywhere recently. Thanks for the clarification about the photo. I suspected that was the case.

Sandy – Puppies definitely came to mind first when I thought of the ‘warm’ theme for OSI … though our weather has certainly heated up again. It’s supposed to be in the 90s today!

Tammy – I’m happy you enjoyed the puppy pictures and hope you had a wonderful ‘wordless’ Wednesday too.

Joyce – I can relate to that! Methinks if I ever adopt another canine friend it’ll be an older dog because training puppies is for younger folks than me! LOL

Thanks to everybody for visiting and sharing your thoughts on my (almost) wordless OSI post today. If I've not visited you yet, I'll be there eventually ... as soon as possible. Hope you have a delightful Thursday too.

Yertle – How sad to be allergic to puppies. Luckily, I’m just allergic to cats.

Tina – I couldn’t agree more about puppies ‘cute’ factor!!! Lately I’ve enjoyed ‘combining’ the One Single Impression prompt with Wordless Wednesday. It’s worked well for me here and at Sacred Ruminations.
