This week's theme is ... Thankful
Gratitude is one of my favorite subjects. I've been keeping 'thankful lists' in my sidebar here since November & move
them to Happily Retired Gal at the beginning of each month
as I start a new one. After Monday's Amazing Rainbow ...
spending my birthday with my sister at the wetlands with
my Nikon 60 & Tamron 28-300mm lens in hand
I gratefully captured this Snowy Egret in flight!

What pretty birds! (My hair looks like that every morning. :P)

Those shots would be beautiful on their own, but the collage has its own special charm. Is that lavender in the background?

I have a Thankful post today too: http://blog.feefifoto.com/2009/02/photo-hunters-thankful.html. Please stop by and take a look, and enter my Fame giveaway while you're visiting. Thanks.

Stunning photos of these egrets. I only saw them from far when I was in Egypt in November. At least somebody told me they were egrets.

Love watching egrets stalk things at the water's edge. Something I didn't realize is that they not only eat fish, but small frogs and lizards too!
