Aloha Meets Ms. Kitty

Make Time for Small Reflections

Ms Kitty is old
but she holds her ground with a
fierce stare and a hiss.

Red Rose and Yellow Sunflower

Make Time for Small Reflections

In my neighbor's yard
grow these lovely blossoms that
I have photographed

potted blossoms came my way
when somebody moved

leaving them behind.

Molly & Layla - Relationship in Transition

Make Time for Small Reflections

Layla lives next door
and plays quite aggressively
when she meets Molly

When she was little
it was not a problem but
now she's almost grown

so they often meet
one another through the fence
or 'above' on the

stairs and deck instead
especially when the pup
Aloha is near.

note the picture on the lower right especially.

Fortunately the
neighbor has hired a dog
trainer to help out

because we would both
like the dogs to learn to play
less aggressively.

What an UPSET at the US Open in New York!

Make Time for Small Reflections
[MellowYellowBadge.jpg]

Yes, I know I'm late
with my Monday post, but it's
been a BUSY day.

Power Point Class this
morning and this afternoon,
two tennis matches!

First women's doubles
where the Williams sisters won
their match easily

then the men's final ...
Juan Martin Del Potro and
Roger Federer

battled for five sets
with momentum swinging from
player to player

as unusual
things occurred ... at first it seemed
Roger would prevail

but the young 6th seed
lucked out on a late challenge
ending with a win!

I confess I am
feeling just a wee bit blue
about this upset ;--(

Molly & Aloha - The Friendship Grows

Make Time for Small Reflections
If you missed earlier installments, click here to catch up ;--)

The Dalmatian pup
Aloha grows bolder each
day ... She ventures out

of her yard to find
Molly ... sharing balls and toys
running merrily.

Play is different
because the pup is so small
but when she grows up

I suspect they'll be
best of friends and vigorous
playmates ... happily!

Ruby Tuesday - US Open TENNIS in New York

Make Time for Small Reflections
Mosaic Monday, Pet Pride, & Camera Critters
are in the NEXT post ... Ms Kitty's Favorite Hang Out.

I confess ... I'm a huge tennis fan
grateful for television coverage my my DVR!
How about the 17 year old Melanie Oudin making it into the Quarter Finals ... defeating Elena Dementieva, Maria Sharapova, and Nadia Petrovia to get there? She's quite something but since she's not wearing RED to play, I've shared Kim Clijsters (who's coming back from retirement to get married and have a baby 18 months ago ... managed to 'take out' Venus Williams in the round of 16 yesterday) and Roger Federer who ARE wearing red. Leyton Hewitt's there too with a touch of red on his racket ... just because.

It's hard to believe none of the American men made it to the Quarter Finals ... first time EVER in the history of the tournament! Of course it's equally hard to believe NONE of the Russian women made it to the Quarters either. Strange turn of events.
