2. I guess I'm going to be late for my Digital Media class because I need to call Anthem Blue Cross Senior Services right away. My bill (dated 2-21-10 with a due date of 3-1-10) arrived yesterday (Yup 3-1-10 ... the same day it's due and before my ID card ... something I'm still waiting for actually). I opened it last night, realized I'm late with my payment already ... tried to call and (after listening to a few minutes of automated messages and pressing numerous buttons) was told to call between regular business hours of 8am to 5pm. So ... that's what I'll be doing before I head off to my class this morning. Such is life! Happy 65th birthday to me ... yet again. LOL
3. That reminds me ... I shared new photos from Friday's belated birthday celebration yesterday at Happily Retired Gal along with some stormy skies and beach views if you have time to click over. We've had clear skies and lovely weather for the past couple of days but more rain is supposed to arrive later this afternoon and continue through the weekend. Hopefully the trash cans won't blow away before I return from class.
4. We had a 'twister' touch down last Saturday and it took out several trees nearby. I'll share more photos another time but here are a few views of one from around the corner ...
5. The guys who have lived across the street for ten years are relocating a few blocks away because their landlord isn't taking care of the mold problem that has developed recently with all the wet weather. I'll miss them ...
6. I'm getting my hair cut & permed tomorrow ... it REALLY needs some attention!
7. Mama Zen shared this Blue Star Award recently encouraging all her visitors to share ten things that make them happy and I promised to do likewise ... so here goes:
- a glorious sunrise (after a good night's sleep)
- the smell of coffee in the morning (and when walking in the mall)
- Molly's sweet kisses and not-so-subtle reminders it's time to walk
- the sound of laughter
- Ms Kitty purring loudly as she rubs against my legs
- walking on the beach (with & w/o Molly)
- taking and sharing photographs
- spending time with my sister hanging out together
- visiting blogs and reading comments others leave me on mine
- delightful flowers in my garden
8. Hmmm ... I just noticed I've not transferred my February Gratitude List from my sidebar here to Happily Retired Gal and started one for March. Where did February go? Guess I'll try to do that this afternoon. Right now it's time to eat something ... then make the phone call and head to class. It's gonna be a busy morning but I'll try to visit this afternoon.

Scary twister! Were there warnings or did it just pop out of the blue? I love this little peek into your day, and seeing what makes you happy. I also love your quote about the weather at the bottom!!
Wow. Those twisters are scary. They touch down in our area without warning sometimes. Although your neighbor is glad there is not much damage, I bet her hubby is in trouble.
Sorry about all the medical insurance trouble. It's a hassle for sure!
I think of earthquakes in California, but not twisters. I'm glad it didn't get any closer to your house than this. I'm also sorry to hear about your continuing computer problems.
I enjoyed visiting your blog today and reading things that make you happy too. Nature has been out of control this year. Here in Texas we get the twisters, but never thought of your area. Noting has been normal weather wise lately. Computers are nice, but they can be a pain too. Take care and thanks for your comment.
Oh gosh - that poor tree! And those poor crushed cars...
Have a great day!
Sad photos of the damage, glad no one was hurt!
Wow... it never ceases to amaze me the amount of damage Mother Nature can do it such a short amount of time. Glad no one was hurt! And a belated happy birthday to you!
That is so frightening to have a twister go through and tear down trees.
That's some weather your having there, awesome pictures! I like your ten things that make you happy list.
Hi Virginia.... Happy 65th... Welcome to the world of Medicare and Social Security!!! Fun ---Fun!!!!!
There are so many things which make me happy (sunsets and sunrises, waterfalls, my George, hiking and being out in nature, our Roses, my birds, etc.)... I feel as if I am in the BEST times of my life. Hope you feel the same way!!!!
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy
Happy Belated Birthday! I was a little hit-and-miss in my reading while we were traveling, so I missed knowing about it.
That twister was scary! Good grief, glad you are OK. You've had some crazy weather stuff this year.
Oh my goodness! I hope no one was hurt. It could be worse. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and blessings.
#2 would make me cranky. The one about the HUSBAND leaving the car in the wrong spot is funny. She'll get years of mileage out of that!
So goes our lives--ups and downs. But it all works out in the end, and as you so often remind us, there's plenty to feel good about!!
Insurance drives me nuts! Hoping you had a great birthday!! Twister? I didn't know you guys had twisters there!
I didn't know you had twisters! Gadzooks! Excellent photos.

thank you for accepting the award.
cheers!
