Camera Critters #39 - Molly on the Move ...

Make Time for Small Reflections
Click below for Haiku Sky Watch Friday posts
at Happily Retired Gal & Sacred Ruminations
This is my 39thMisty Dawn started the meme and explains the rules here.

4-year old Molly
(Labrador Retriever) loves
to chase tennis balls

on the sidewalk out
in front of our house at the
beach. See how she runs ...

Click to embiggen

within a 5 house
span ... two lots on either side
where other labs live ...

fur-friends all, they play
joyously together when-
ever time permits

but today those dogs
were not home so Molly played
fetch the ball with me.

and for my 40th CameraCritters post at Happily Retired Gal.

Small Reflections ... Smile Back

"Labradors [are] lousy watchdogs. They usually bark when there is a stranger about, but it is an expression of unmitigated joy at the chance to meet somebody new, not a warning." Norman Strung

We have a flat coat retriever that barks at strangers and for the same reason.

How fun that Molly got to play ball with you. It's better than not getting to play at all.

Have a terrific weekend. Big hug. :)

I have often thought that if I ever do get a dog, I think I would like a Lab--they seem like such sweeties! And Molly, especially, is such a cutie!

Molly looks like a very happy dog. We have three labradors and Norman Strung is so right! But you have to love them, they are barking mad ;-)

What a beautiful dog and a wonderful breed to have. I have my two sweet Golden Retrievers and they aren't the best watch dogs either. I think they just bark to say hey come pet me. LOL!!

Hi! Molly is sooo cute. I bet your arms was hurting. We had a black lab and would fetch the ball for hours. We tried hiding the ball, but it didn't matter. she would find someelse to fetch. Lisa

Good evening, Virginia,
Our dog Lassie, like the dogs in the quote you cited, loves everyone. She definitely is NOT a watch dog.

Molly is so cute!

Hello, I'm revisiting your blog to look at older posts. I love your camera critters. Molly is a great dog. I smiled the whole time. All your pictures of her are great on this collage and the most recent ones. I think I'm going to have to participate in this meme too. I love taking pictures of my dog.
