I usually like to tweak my photo to brighten them up a bit. So...I will say the tweaked version. I think that is Huntington Pier in the distance...don't you just love the ocean?!

Drizzly in Southern California. Could be a new song title! I guess that is something worth documenting. Makes the rest of us feel a little better.

I almost always tweak photos a tad to up the contrast.

These are lovely pictures! I like the collage one made up of many the best. It is overall more stunning and has more images on it to enjoy. I've added your two blogs to my sidebar as blogs that I follow. HappyRetired won't go in because it's Wordpress, but I will follow it. I've also added shortcuts to your blogs on my desktop.

This is a pretty beach scene. It looks rather deserted, just those three surfers and a groupie.
My kids and granddaughter, BP, were at Newport the day before yesterday. BP like the Santa Monica Pier much better since it's winter. [California never has nice warm beaches like Texas and Florida, she's a little spoiled.]

Your pictures? It's 50/50 for me. Bottom one has more detail visable, top has prettier sky and water.

We missed sending Christmas cards. I have a 'Christmas' letter, we are thinking of mailing that after New Year's.
At least to those who sent us cards.

We are talking about an adult class. At least I may take one. I like the social part best. Remember, I taught college for 22 years. That started after I was tired of taking classes after eleven years. :-)

Wonderful shots. My wife and I used to walk on the beach about twice a week at HB. We would walk just about to the spot where you took the picture then head back.

Lovely sky. At this moment, I prefer the straight-from-the-camera shot. the sky has a brooding, almost menacing, wintry quality. But when I come back in another day, I might prefer the tweaked. Wonder if I'm a fence-sitter? Happy New Year to you and yours!
