ThursdayThirteen #21 - 2nd Photobucket Meme

Thanks to Hootin' Anni for the cool T-13 Header

13 Things About Me
(My 2nd Photobucket Meme)

I found this meme over at Hootin'Anni's a couple of weeks ago ... she invited folks to play along - and so I am... because I would just hate to disappoint her. It has different questions than the one I found at Thoughts from Miller Manor back in February ... and, of course, I know more about how to use Photobucket HTML codes these days. Here's the link to the 1st one in case you'd rather answer some of those questions.

The deal here is:

1. Go to http://www.photobucket.com/
2. Type in your answer to the question in the “search” box
3. Use only the first page
4. Insert the picture into your Blog.

Soooooo... here we go!

1. What is your current relationship stat?

divorced
for almost 20 years and I'm 'happily independent' now, but it was rough initially (see #25-29 in my 101 Things About Me post if you're curious about my marriage and #33-37 if you're curious about what followed).

2. What is your current mood?

Hungry
HUNGRY because it's 6:21pm on Wednesday evening, I need to stop and make dinner soon ;--)

3. What is your favorite band/singer?

Andre Bocelli
Andre Bocelli

4. What is your favorite Movie?

Groundhog Day

5. Where do you live?

Southern California ... a block and a half from the beach ;--)

beach

6. Where do you work?

Retired
home

7. What do you look like?

Photobucket

8. What do you drive?

my truck

9. What is your favorite TV show?

greys anatomy

10. Describe yourself?

carefree
Barefoot & Carefree ;--)

11. What are you doing today?

Walking the dogs on the beach

12. What did you do last night?

Blogging 2

13. What is your name?

Storyteller

Actually, I did a Photobucket Meme (see link in the About Me section of my sidebar) with different questions a while back. That time I didn't read the directions carefully enough and didn't understand about HTML codes, so those images aren't 'clickable' back to their 'creator' in Photobucket. This time I did it right ... although I did use a few pictures from my saved computer files because I couldn't find anything appropriate for a couple of the questions.

So, of course you know that I'm NOT tagging anyone... but like Hootin' Anni, I do HOPE you'll play along! Let me know if ya do!

Links to other Thursday Thirteens!

The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. Visiting fellow Thirteeners is encouraged! If you participate, leave the link to your Thirteen in others comments. It’s easy, and fun! Trackbacks, pings, comment links accepted!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Also, thanks for telling me about the black on purple being difficult to read. I'll remember next time! ((hugs))

This was the 1st week I’ve created my T-13 published ‘early’ …(before I turned off the computer Wednesday night)… so it’s fun to find your comments first thing today. I’m also feeling much more ‘relaxed’ because I ‘slept-in’ until 6:30 …(most unusual for me)… so mine would have been REALLY LATE since I live on the West Coast.

Adelle – I had great fun generating this post and hope you’ll let me know if (or when) you decide to give it a go your self. Thanks for your return visit this morning re: my difficulty with the black text. One of the interesting things about getting older is how my eyes have changed. Once upon a time I would have had no trouble, but these days dark text on dark background is impossible for me and light text on dark background is a challenge ...(even though it makes for an attractive 'look' on blogs).

Lori – Thanks. I love Photobucket as a photo-resource and appreciate finding the idea at Hootin’ Anni’s. I hope you DO follow my suggestion today ;--)

DaneBramage – I found your ‘humorous take’ on Earth Day entertaining … though I do believe the topic does have merit. Anything that raises awareness seems beneficial to me.

Journeywoman – Thanks and good luck with your cookbook.

Roger – I’m relieved to know I didn’t step on anyone’s toes. I’m still new enough to all of this that the ‘rules’ aren’t quite clear to me all of the time.

Jenn – I hope you do! I’ll look forward to seeing your results ;--)

Hootin’ Anni - I had fun trying this idea for a 2nd time … with different questions and a bit of experience to guide me. Limiting myself to the 1st page of Photobucket seemed challenging and led me to ‘cheat’ by using a couple of pix from my own files … but the ‘Storyteller find’ WAS perfect!!! I wanted to use the ‘contented kitty’ from yours … but am happy with the photo I found. As for the roses … I love them too … and folks tell me they smell as wonderful as they look. I wouldn’t know because sticking my nose up close would cause my ‘allergies’ to kick in. LOL

I appreciate all of your comments and enjoyed my visit to each of your blogs already. Hope you’re having a delightful day!

Cool idea! I cannot wait for Grey's Anatomy tonight - it's one of my favorites as well. Happy TT!

Great stuff. That 'storyteller' picture is PERFECT.

How cool! You live in a palm tree!

*grin*

Sorry. Couldn't resist. Your brain was mush last night? Mine is all into Thirteening today. Have a good one!

KC said...

I tell ya, if I lived where you lived I wouldn't want to leave home either.. What a great T13
I think I"m going to play along also.. but I won't have it up until Monday in my Meme Monday post.. what a cool meme..
Happy Thursday.

What a wonderful TT this week. Thanks for dropping by The Cafe for mine.

Betty said...

I really enjoyed your TT and all the neat pictures you published. I believe you said you live in Southern California. I wonder if you live close to Simi Valley or did I ask you that already. We have a son and his family who live in Simi Valley.

Tina@ SendChocolateNow said...

Wow, that was ambitious. Pretty neat. Love your TT and thanks for visiting mine!

Akelamalu said...

I see you got SPAM! It's so annoying!!!

I want to live where you live after seeing those pictures. x

Ivanhoe – Yup … I’ve been waiting for the show to come back … impatiently too!

LceeL – Thanks! Finding it was a stroke of good luck … though I did find an alternative I could have used.

Susan – I’m well-rested this morning and just returned from a walk with Molly. Palm trees surround my home in this beach community. They’re not my favorite, but they come with the territory. RATS, crows and parrots ‘live’ in them … NOT me ;--)

KC – I’ll look forward to seeing it whenever! I went with it today since it had 13 questions … otherwise I would have published it on a Meme Monday myself ;--)

Sassy Mama Bear – Thanks. I had fun with it … and enjoyed YOURS too ;--)

Betty – Semi Valley is inland … I live at the beach, but it’s within driving distance. My T-13s aren’t usually about ME, but I’ve tried recently to find interesting ways to share about myself occasionally. I’ve done many memes previously and have my list of 101Things posted …(all with links to them in the About Me section of my sidebar). I figure there’s more information out there than anyone cares to read as is ;--)

TLC – It was ‘phun’ to do actually … and I always enjoy learning new things. I’ve been on a ‘visual’ kick lately but will no doubt get back to ‘words’ again eventually.

Akelamalu - Yup! I got hit BIG TIME just now on SEVEN different posts ... 3 on one blog and 4 on the other. I've 'dumped' them all and hopefully there aren't any more. I'll know when I clear out my email box later. I noticed Hootin' Anni got hit just now too on her T-13 and lots of us have been 'spammed' recently. I guess if it continues I'll have to put the word verification back on even though I'd rather not. I do love where I live ... and feel most fortunate indeed. Lots of friends and family members wanna live with me ;--)

I hope you’re all having a wonderful week. Thanks for sharing a bit of your day with me at Small Reflections.
Hugs and blessings,

I love your use of images! Great list!

Di said...

I may have to find a theme like that. My TT ideas have not been very creative of late.

Denise Patrick said...

What a neat idea. Someday when I have the time, I might try it. Love some of the pictures, too.

Happy TT!

wow - you did a great job. Really. And how fun to learn a bit more about you. I couldn't tell if you lived in Hawaii or Florida - either way - how awesome! :)

Happy TT!

Wow I am so jealous of where you live!!! :)

Happy TT!

I'm a little jealous of all that beach stuff. I love the STORYTELLER book. I guess you could do this with google image too. I never would have guessed you looked like a dancing grammy.

storyteller said...

Karen – You’re always so sweet and supportive! I hope you all enjoyed Nathan’s 5th birthday today ;--)

Di – You’re more than welcome to use THIS ‘meme’ and/or the previous one I did in February. I’ve found it possible to ‘modify’ other ‘memes’ occasionally too … in fact I did that a couple of weeks ago for one after being tagged by Ivanhoe.

Denise – If you stick to the ‘rules’ and only choose from the 1st page of Photobucket, it goes faster. I spent about 40 minutes or so creating THIS post and it was fun to do.

Claudia – Thanks. Actually I live in Southern California ;--)

Random Moments – Yup … I’m a lucky gal indeed!

Colleen – Heheheh … She was the only grey-haired ‘active’ image I could find!

I hope you’re each having a delightful day and thanks to all of you for visiting.

I just adore that photo of the book for Storyteller :) What a fun meme! I love those shots of the beach. What a pleasure it must be to live so close to the water :)

I played! I didn't do the Thursday 13 thing...but played anyway. Always making my own rules ya know. ;)

Phyl said...

Love the list...and for some reason it shocked me to know you are divorced. Go me. The book with your name is adorable and the Cali pics made me wanna go on vactaion.

Darla said...

That was fun! I did a Google image meme a while back, but it didn't have the same or as many questions. I'll have to remember this one!

storyteller said...

Sandy – Finding the photos for this post was more ‘phun’ than my first time at Photobucket because I’ve learned how the site works. I love living where I do … so close to the ocean.

Grandy – I thoroughly enjoyed your Photobucket Post today and am delighted you decided to play. It ISN’T really a T-13 ‘thing’ … I just used it for Thursday Thirteen this week because ‘following rules’ isn’t My thing either ;--)

Phyl – Sometimes it ‘shocks’ me to reveal that I’m divorced because I’ve always believed ‘marriage is forever’ … but as friends pointed out to me decades ago, when he’s gone … so is the marriage. Items #25-29 in my 101Things list provide the ‘overall look’ at that ‘relationship’ and #33-37 describe the ‘aftermath’ in case you’re curious. You'll find a link in the About Me section of my sidebar. My life is pretty much summed up in that post ;--)

Darla – I didn’t know there was a ‘Google image’ meme … nor do I know how that part of Google works … so I’ll have to browse your blog to learn about that one because I enjoy learning new things.

Thanks for visiting, sharing your thoughts, and I hope you’re all having a fantastic Friday.

MP – I’m glad I noticed your feedback to Grandy on her blog because enjoyed visiting your blog and seeing what you’ve done with this Photobucket Meme. As for my retirement, I know how fortunate I am … and am exceedingly grateful. Thanks for your visit here. I hope I’ll see you again ;--)

I just found out about photobucket at Darla's site. She mentioned you and so. . . here I am. What a great meme. Thanks for sharing.

Brenda - That YOU for your comment here. This kind of meme is how I learned about Photobucket myself ... and it's certainly been a useful resource. I hope you check it out and find it as useful as I have. I notice one of my pictures has disappeared. I've since learned to 'add' the photos to my account there so that if the person who posted them deletes them, I still have access. Live and learn. Methinks I'll take a minute to replace the missing photo before doing anything else. Thanks again for your visit and comment. Be sure to let me know if you decide to do this meme on your blog ;--)
