After eleven
losses to his nemesis
Andy Roddick won!
Memorable ... this
match was close and kept me on
the edge of my seat!
Roddick took the first
in a tie-break ... 7-6
serving at his best!
Federer then raised
his game as he always does
breaking Andy once.
either way ... I held my breath
watching Roddick fight
for each point until
finally he 'broke' Roger
in the final set.
One game left to play.
Could he 'hold' and take the match
or would 'nerves' kick in
and wreak havoc with
Andy as so often in
past games ... not THIS time!
Finally it seems
Roger's 'human' after all.
Roddick next will play
Davydenko who
won against Tipsarevic
yesterday as well.
Berdych who beat Andreev
I'll be watching both!

Very cool!! What good lookers, too!
I love your kus! Especially the one in my comments!
This is great. I can't see the picture though :(
Goodness, they are gorgeous! I mean....great haiku :) I hope the other matches will be as exciting!
SecretAgentMama – Thanks … Yes, they are good looking and in terrific shape too ;--)
SusieJ – I’m glad because I love writing in this form … and a couple of posts on Friday’s just isn’t enough to get it out of my system.
Akelamalu – Hmmm … I wonder what the problem is with the pictures?
Sandy – Heheh! I know whatcha mean … they ARE gorgeous! I’m about to watch one of the men’s semi-finals soon. I’m letting the DVR record the beginning so I can fast-forward through the commercial breaks ;--)
I hope you’re all having a fantastic Friday!
Hugs and blessings,
I love Andy! And your ku. A twopher - thank you!
He finally won! Although that announcement that he's engaged to a 20 year old made me question his judgement a bit. Don't like Federer. Can't like him. COCKY!
What an exciting match. My Dad was loving it too. It is so cool how you can do tennis play by play in haiku!
So glad you are enjoying your tennis. I don't follow it but enjoy reading your posts.
We have a beautiful sunny day here and it's warm. Spring may finally be here.
Thanks for commenting on my autism spectrum post. I always enjoy visiting with you.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Blessings,
Mary
Excellent kus!
I don’t know how I missed these comments, but I’m ‘cleaning up’ today and responding later than usual. Actually, methinks I might have responded already in email to those of you whose email addresses actually showed up. Ya know how I hate that ‘Blogger @ No Reply’ address that ‘looks’ like a link but the replies ‘bounce’ immediately. Sigh!
MamaGeek – I’m happy you enjoyed both my ‘ku and reading about Andy’s win over Federer.
AnglophileFootballFanatic – YES!!! It was hard to watch him lose the next night to Davydenko … but watching Davydenko do the same thing to Nadal in the ‘finals’ put things in perspective. This was clearly the Russian’s year!
Yertle – I can only do the ‘play by play’ if I post right after the match because the details fade quickly … so when there are many matches in a single day I’m more ‘general’ about things, but when it gets to the end of the tournament I can be more specific because there are fewer matches to write about. I’m glad you enjoy these posts.
Mary – I’m so happy the weather is warming up and that you’re seeing signs of Spring … finally. I’m also glad to ‘connect’ you with Raven and others who are blogging about Autism to raise awareness.
Karen – Thanks. My ‘kus’ follow the ‘pattern’ … but the ‘topic’ is a bit ‘offbeat’ for traditional Haiku ;--)
I appreciate all your comments and am glad I was finally able to respond here. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that you have a delightful day today!
Hugs and blessings,
