My 1st Photo Hunt and Saturday 9

1st Time
This week's theme is Unique or Funny Signs

I found & photographed this sign last summer outside
'Moon River Gifts'
(along the Enchanted Circle Drive near
Taos, New Mexico)

My regular readers have seen this sign previously
but it seems 'perfect' for my
1st Photo Hunt post.

I discovered the
Saturday 9 at The Daily Meme
(and decided to 'play' for the 1st time)

Today's Theme is 'The most recent ..."

1. Who called you most recently?
My friend Jackie called to confirm that she enrolled in the Adobe Photoshop Elements course starting on May 13th.

2. What was the most recent sports game you watched?
The 'final' of the Sony Ericsson Tennis Championship Men's Final in Miami and I blogged about it too ;--)

3. Who is your most recent friend?
My answer must be 'plural' as in 'friends' ... including fellow attendees of the Writers Retreat in Taos, New Mexico last summer ... Karen of Journey to Authenticity, Kara of Spiritdoll, Jan (my 'writing buddy' with whom I connect by phone weekly), and too many others to name here.

4. What was the most recent TV show you watched?
I'm watching 'Eyewitness News' on Channel 7 as I create this post.

5. What was the most recent music that you purchased?
Ohmygosh ... I have no clue because it's been so long since I've purchased anything (other than groceries).

6. What were the most recent clothes that you purchased?
(see answer to #5)

7. Who most recently did you say “I love you” to?
My sister in a recent phone call.

8. Who did you most recently text?
Sorry ... I don't 'text' anyone ... ever.

9. Who did you most recently kiss?
Molly, my 3 year old Labrador Retriever ;--)

Welcome!! That was a confusing but funny sign. Were they open when you were there?

That sign there is a real winner! My jaw dropped to the floor while reading it. Heheh.

Welcome to the Photohunt.

Rebecca – Thanks! I’ve happened upon many Photo Hunters in previous weeks and decided to get in on the action today.

Ancient One – Actually, the shop WAS open and I asked ‘permission’ to take a photo not only of the sign but of some pottery displays inside. We chatted for a while before I moved on.

WillThink4Wine – It DOES seem to cover all the possibilities while granting ‘infinite freedom’ doesn’t it?

Hootin’ Anni – I don’t take lots of pictures of anything but my yard … but when I saw this week’s theme I figured it was time to jump in and play ;--)

Ellen – I’m happy you enjoyed it today and hope my ‘regulars’ don’t mind seeing it for the 3rd time.

JC – Methinks that’s about it! LOL

Mrs.Nesbitt – It’s one of my all time favorites!

Mar – Thanks for the comment and the link. I’ll check yours out when I finish my responses here.

MamaMeji – I’m delighted to provide you with humorous entertainment.

I appreciate the warm welcome from everyone. I’m happy I decided to ‘play’ today and pleased you decided to visit and leave your comments here. Have a wonderful weekend!

Love the sign! Welcome to the Photo Hunt..it's one of my favorite memes.

storyteller said...

Pato & Pearl – Yup … it certainly would, but perhaps in some parts of the country it could work … maybe ;--)

Betty – I’m happy I shared it again so that you (and others) could enjoy it today.

Bud Weiser – Thanks for the visit and the link back to your ‘9’ so I could get acquainted ;--)

Cats-Goats-Quotes – Glad you enjoyed it.

Sue – Now that I’ve gotten my ‘feet wet’ …(so to speak)… maybe I’ll keep my eyes peeled and camera ready so I can play again.

Crazy Sam – It’s MY pleasure to participate today … and I’m hoping to continue.

Deb – Thanks. I’ve enjoyed visiting other Photo Hunt posts in the past when I’ve happened upon them, and loved sharing today ;--)

It’s nice to find a group of bloggers who are ACTIVE on the weekendUsually Saturdays are SLOW traffic-wise. I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend.

Glad you decided to play with us. I love your sign. I remember seeing it when you posted before. Familiarity does not reduce the giggles.

Like you, I don't do much shopping except for groceries and I DO NOT text. If I'm gonna be on the phone, I want to talk.

I like that sign!

I wanted to stop by and extend a thank you to you for helping spread the word for my missing dog. I hope someone sees it online and we get her back, soon.

storyteller said...

Eve – I’ve been thinking about playing for a while, but since the main thing I photograph these days is my front yard … I don’t have a huge pool of photos to draw from. Now that I’ve made the plunge, perhaps I’ll remember to carry my camera with me more regularly.

TNChick – You’re welcome. I’d be FRANTIC if Molly was missing … and I just hope someone is taking care of her and sees one of our posts … even if we ARE spread out across the nation. Thanks for the visit and God bless. You’re in my prayers.

ROFL!! That is a wonderful entry for photohunt this week! So glad that you decided to join in :) You're so sweet for posting about her missing dog. I was so sad to discover that today. I hope she returns soon.

storyteller said...

Jientje – Thanks. I’ve enjoyed your photos and those of others for quite some time now … but since I don’t take as many pictures I’ve not ‘played’ previously. Wordless Wednesday is challenging enough for me ;--)

Shannon – Thanks … it was fun to share this week and maybe I’ll do it again. Eyewitness News is Channel 7 (ABC’s) news station for the Greater Los Angeles/Orange County areas in Southern California.

Frances – Visiting yours was MY pleasure. I’ve barely scratched the surface of Photoshop Elements but am looking forward to the class I’ve signed up for that starts next month.

Anna – Thanks! When I read the theme I thought of this photo right away and knew I had to share … at least once. I’ll see how things go next week ;--)

Sandy – I’m happy to generate laughter with this one. It tickles my funny bone every time I see (or think about) it. As for posting about Zoey … I know how frantic I’d feel if Molly was missing. It can’t hurt and might help.

I appreciate each of you visiting on Saturday … and hope you’re having a delightful Sunday today.

It's good to know I'm not the only one who doesn't text--I don't even know HOW to do it!

Fun meme! And I LOVE that sign!

Karen said...

And thank you for singling me out as a recent friend--I am SO GLAD I went to Taos!! (I almost chickened out!) I definitely count you as one of my newest friends!

storyteller said...

Karen – I actually know HOW to ‘text’ and have ‘on occasion’ sent text messages … but it’s not something I enjoy nor a way I prefer to communicate … and I’ve not ‘texted’ anyone is a VERY long time … may never text anyone again!

As for Taos … ‘ditto’ for me! Best thing I’ve done for myself in a long time … life-altering experience … and I’m exceedingly grateful for the ‘serendipitous string of events’ that got me there.

I wonder if I’ve blogged about that? Maybe I’ll use it for Heads or Tails ‘special memory’ this morning. (Sigh) … I seem to be having my usual ‘blockage’ in writing to a prompt … no matter how ‘non-specific’ and/or ‘open-ended’ it might be.

Hugs and blessings,

I didn't participate but I am just getting to know your fun blog.

Baby-amore – I’m sorry I didn’t find your comment on my 1st Photo Hunt sign for more than a week, but am delighted to discover it this morning … and happy you find my blog to be ‘fun’ … so thanks for visiting and sharing your thoughts. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day!
