Make Time for Small Reflections
Scroll down for two Fun Mondays
Mellow Yellow and Macro Monday will be at
Happily Retired Gal soon.
This is my 1st Monochrome Monday
and 4th Creative Photography.
I created this monochrome collage 'follow up' to two previous Creative Photography posts ... one at Happily Retired Gal and the other at Sacred Ruminations ... in which I shared views of Bridges on the Mabel Dodge House grounds in Taos, New Mexico.
She asks us to share fun memories of our mothers or grandmothers.
Since my Grandmothers both died when I was very young, I have almost no memories of them other than 'stories' told about them. My Mom died in 1989 & hasn't been around for decades, so my memories are minimal at this point in life. I did write and publish Memories of Mom last May here at Small Reflections ... so I offer that link this morning and invite visitors who might have missed that post to check it out as time permits.
Last week's Fun Monday hostess was Ari of Beyond My Slab. She requested we share our kitchens ... and I actually had a collage ready to publish on February 23rd, however when I was greeted by the amazing rainbow (that felt like a birthday gift from the Universe), I totally forgot to include it in last Monday's post. Therefore, I do so today ... just because.
Small Reflections ... Smile Back

Your mono is most interesting - Shadows and Highlights does it.
You are very welcome on the Mono trail.
i found this on your sideline.. "To know the road ahead ... ask those coming back." And it's so true! we are looking for a place to buy some land and put a house (upstairs renters wake up baby daily, despite threats from management-so they tell us-to kick them out)-- anyway, we stopped by a farmer's house to ask about a piece of property he owns, he won't sell--but he was able to steer us AWAY from another piece of property for sale down the road--he says that the road washes out every year and the culvert they put it won't stay--for that information my husband thanked him profusely, why be stuck on top of a hill until someone else can build it back up if you dont have to?!? and he even said he'd try and find a piece of land for us, he knows someone who may be selling soon. he really does know the road, so hopefully we'll be thanking him with cookies from our new house very very soon!!!!
I clicked to your past post about mom - what an incredible woman! I wonder how many women these days would have the fortitude to survive those days and those circumstances? You were lucky to have her, and by writing about her is a way to keep your memories fresh.
The mono photos are great and your kitchen looks like a place I could enjoy a cup of coffee! :)
I think that we have the same kitchen cabinets!
Fire up that kettle and let's have a cup of tea. I always enjoy your collages.
Have a terrific Monday. Big hug. :)
I love your kitchen! I really like having a window over the sink! Wonderful!
I read your post about your Mom, she sounded like a very remarkable woman. I know you must miss her very much. Your kitchen looks very well equipped. Thanks for sharing.
I definitely remember that post about your mother. I love that you've shared that about her here. :)
Great job on the photos! I don't remember either of my grandmothers either.
Love your kitchen!
Hope you are having a great week!
I love that you have so many windows in your kitchen. I am a window junkie but live in a 1962 ranch house with no windows!!
That story about your mom brought tears to my eyes. I knew when my mom passed away that the family bridge would go with her. Our family still gets together but not as much as we used to... she was our glue!
Your kitchen is very cozy. :-) Happy Fun Monday.

Just read your post about your mom. My goodness what a life, cooking, washing without the facilities we have today ! It's a pity she died so young.
I read that post at the time but did go back for a re-read. (hugs)
I just love your collages, nice grouping and photos!! :D
You sure do put in a full blogging Monday!
