Life is busy these days and I'm doing what I can to keep up ... catching up on email and blog posts as time permits ... making progress gradually in a 'one step forward, two steps back' kind of way. I'm enjoying my new laptop & chair ... PSE6 classes and projects ... and trying to let whatever 'stress' I feel go ... doing what I can and trusting it's good enough. I do appreciate all my regular readers and those who drop by occasionally ... and would like to belatedly acknowledge and share the following award today.

I'd like to thank Betty of Betty's This and That for this Super Commenter Award that she received from Mercedes at Mercedes World and shared mid-June. I apologize to Betty for being so slow to pass it along, but I'm sure she understands because we all get way too busy from time to time ... and that's exactly what' I've been. I passed it along Wednesday at Sacred Ruminations and wish share here as well. So as not to overlook anyone, I offer it to all who visit Small Reflections 2-3 times per week (or more) and leave comments on my posts. You Make My Day and know who you are!

Please feel free to share the love and pass it along to others.

I think I need a nap...wow! How busy are you? I can't keep up with one blog.

Storyteller,

Congratulations on the award. You always leave such kind words in my comments and you are certainly deserving.

I'm a little behind and love your photos below of Hawaii. Thanks so much for sharing.

Enjoy your weekend, my friend.
Blessings,
Mary

I just wanted to tell you I thought you Haiku was very creative. Good job. I'm not a Haiku kinda thinker so I don't Haiku Fridays, but enjoy reading them. I have see the YouTube video on the Today show and thought it very funny.

Congratulations on the award! I like the poem, and I saw that JibJab video. It cracked me up.

Swampy – I dunno about that … you seem to come up with interesting things to share daily (and sometimes more often). It definitely helps to be happily retired, though lately it’s been more challenging than it was at first.

Mary – Thanks. I try to limit my visiting to when I have time to read and respond in a thoughtful manner … and no doubt that priority is part of what’s led to me falling behind. I’m happy to share what I can. It’s been a good week (if busy). I went to lunch and spent the afternoon in the REAL world celebrating a friend’s birthday … just got home a few minutes ago, so I don’t know how much visiting I’ll do tonight because I’m tired and Molly needs some play time and a walk.

B Boys Mom – I appreciate your feedback on my Haiku. The form comes to me easily and I look forward to Haiku Fridays because I enjoy writing and reading these poetic posts. As for JibJab … I’ve enjoyed all of the mini-videos these brothers have created over the years and this one was no exception.

Maggie – Thanks. All the videos are very brief … but entertainingly clever. They say they’ve succeeded when both liberals and conservatives see the output as ‘slanted’ ;--)

Melissa – Sorry I’ve not been by in a few days. I’m hoping to catch up over the weekend. I suspect you won’t be disappointed with the latest video … but my favorite remains the first one I ever saw ‘This Land!’ … probably because it was so novel an experience.

Sharon – Thanks on both counts. I’m glad you got a chance to enjoy the clip and found it entertaining.

To all – I thought I’d be back earlier and would be able to visit this afternoon, but it appears I’ll be doing that tomorrow instead since it’s almost 6:30 and Molly needs some attention. I hope you’ve each had a wonderful week and that the weekend is pleasant too.
Hugs and blessings,

I did see a bit of the job jab clip! It was all over our local news recently.

Congratulations on the award! I do love the new "small reflections smile back"

I like that video. Thanks for sharing.

Sandy – I guess I missed it on the news, but checked online when a friend asked me if I’d seen it … so I figured I’d share … just because others missed it like me.

MPJ – Ah, I’m happy to make the link available to you ;--)

Thanks to both of you for dropping by my Haiku Friday post. I’m sitting on my front patio with my laptop … enjoying the evening air with Ms. Kitty chowing down and Molly having a ‘fit’ inside, but I’ll let her out when the cat finishes dining. Hope you’re having a lovely Sunday afternoon/evening too ;--)

Being busy seems impossible to avoid--but for me, I need to find a way to NOT be cranky about it! (I've mostly been in a cranky mood since getting back from vacation--there's been too much to do!)

I'm really enjoying your haikus!

Congratulations on your award! :-)

That video is hilarious!

Karen – It seems ‘busy’ has become a way of life since I started my PSE6 classes. I’ve not been cranky about it, but this past few weeks I’ve felt ‘stressed’ by falling father behind all over again. I’m hopeful that during the next couple of weeks I’ll be able to rethink things and/or catch up during ‘break’ from classes, but I did sign up for two more … just because I’m enjoying the intellectual stimulation of learning new things and being able to ‘apply’ new skills with my photos. I’m glad you enjoy my haikus ;--)

Tina – Thanks … I do make an effort always to leave thoughtful comments when I visit others and respond here. I’m glad you enjoyed the video.

Thanks to you both for visiting. I apologize for taking so long to respond. It’s hard to believe it’s Friday night again … a week after I left THIS post.
Hugs and blessings,
