This is my 1st ...
View from my front patio ...
Williams sisters won
semi-final's 'Double's Match'

earlier today

and tomorrow they'll
battle one another on

Center Court. That's one

match to watch for sure!
First time in 5 years that they've
met in the 'finals' ...

It is well known that we Portuguese once sailed the seven seas searching for new lands, wealth and adventures.
We were brave in those days and gave the world new worlds!

Luckily I don’t have to sail the big oceans on a small ship to sea the wonders of our world …
No Sir, I just need to check with Mr. Tom, the finest host there is, for a trip around the world with SKY WATCH TOURS and with a click here, a click there I am quickly in the USA, England, Brazil, Italy, China, Australia, Finland … well, everywhere.

And on each stop I come to see a little marvel of our world under a great sky!
Hope you can come and see my piece of the sky at lenses & visions

I don´t think mine will be a match to yours but even so ...

And welcome! I hope you enjoy.

Welcome to SWF.....Great catch for SWF! God and Nature first made us what we are, and then out of our own created genius we make ourselves what we want to be. Follow always that great law. Let the sky and God be our limit and Eternity our measurement.... Happy weekend! Mine's up too hope you can drop by..

Great haikus!! That sounds like a match not to be missed.

Love the sky shot, and if I watched Tennis, that would be the one I'd watch because I know their names. :)

I think this is the best Sky Watch Friday yet. The things I have seen are very encouraging and the photography is spot on.

I really admire your photography skills and your critical eye for composition, lighting and texture.

One thing about being a blogger I became a world traveler.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to see a wonderful sky shot from New Mexico.

It not always greener on the other side of the fence.

Just dropping by to thank you for your kind words and wishes for my "pup". I appreciate it and will post updates on her every week.

Thanks again and Happy Independence Day :)

Quinttarantio – Thanks for the visit and the welcome. I’ll drop by in a little while for sure.

Carla – I appreciate the welcome and your compliment.

Reader Wil – I watch the sunrise regularly from my patio, but this shot was one of several I captured mid-day after the rain when stormy skies were trying to clear up.

Snap Catch – Wonderful words of wisdom shared here. Thanks for the warm welcome to Sky Watch.

Karen (of Sillymonkeez) – Both sisters appear to be healthy at the same time and playing well, though this morning Serena had her left thigh wrapped … causing commentators to wonder if she pulled something. She seemed okay in this morning’s doubles match.

Maggie – I do feel blessed with the gorgeous views from my front yard. Thanks ;--)

Abraham Lincoln – What a lovely comment! I feel like such an amateur when I see the photographs others share, but I do my best with what I have and am glad others enjoy my pictures.

Peppylady – Actually THIS sky shot was from my front yard in coastal Southern California, but many of the others on my blog were taken in New Mexico when I visited there last summer.

SwampAngel65 – I do hope your Indy will be okay with treatment. Twelve years is not a long enough life for fur-friends we love.

To all – I’m delighted to find your comments upon returning from my walk with Molly just now, and I’ll be visiting others as soon as I’ve eaten some lunch. I hope you’re all having a fantastic Friday. Thanks so much for dropping by my first Sky Watch/53rd HF at Small Reflections.
Hugs and blessings,

Jenty – I usually participate in Haiku Friday on both of my blogs each week, but today I decided to add Sky Watch … just because.

OldWomTigley – Thank you so much. I’ve enjoyed all the blogs I’ve visited today, but I don’t know how anyone gets around to all 221+ on Fridays. There are many talented Photographic Bloggers out there in this virtual world.

WillThink4Wine – My house faces east … so I watch the sun rise each morning. This photo is one of several I took a few weeks ago … later in the day as the rain clouds were clearing and the sun breaking through. I’ve only just started taking pictures of the skies, but am looking forward to participating as regularly as I can.

Kahshe Cottager – Visiting was MY pleasure, and I appreciate you dropping by my first Sky Watch today. I’ve WATCHED clouds for years, but have only just begun to try to photograph them.

Carletta – Thanks … I’m eager for all the remaining matches too ;--)

David – I appreciate your visit and comment. Thanks.

Tere – I’ve enjoyed visiting others (though I don’t know how anyone visits everyone on Tom’s list) and it was fun to share this photo.

Babooshka – I did have fun today … and I’ll be watching the sky next week with camera in hand.

Pat – Thanks. I do feel blessed to live where I do … and to have the discretionary time (as a happily retired person) to enjoy my patio view. Now that I have my new wireless laptop, I can even BLOG out there if I choose.

Raven – Experimenting with my camera recently has yielded some unexpected results … and this photo was one pleasant surprise. I’m glad to have the opportunity to share here.

Mike – I thought you might enjoy my view. Glad you could drop by ;--)

To all – I’ve enjoyed visiting many Sky Watch posts today and look forward to participating as often as possible in the weeks to come. I wish for you all a wonderful weekend and sincerely appreciate you spending a bit of time here at Small Reflections. Today Site Meter told me I’d passed 10,000 visitors! How cool is that?

Beautiful skies. I hope you enjoyed your tennis match! I'm going to be watching Olympic trials today specifically hurdles as my cousins son might qualify...

Sandy Carlson – I appreciate the feedback and am delighted to have joined Sky Watch at last. I’m hoping to reorganize my photo collection for easy access in the next few weeks … so hopefully it’ll be easier to participate as time goes by. Right now … finding what I’m looking for is a time-consuming hassle.

Indrani – Thank you. I love writing in haiku … and do it at least once a week on each blog.

Old Wom Tigley – How nice to find your 2nd comment! Thanks for taking the time to return. I did receive quite a few visitors and managed to get around to about 25 or so others. Some days I have more time for blogging and others days not so much … but I did enjoy seeing what others have shared and have added Sky Watch to my list of options for posting in the future.

EllenB – I did enjoy the match greatly, though I wish it had gone 3 sets. I’ve watched some of the Olympic trials as time permitted. Good luck to your cousin’s son! I imagine participating in the Olympics is an amazing experience.

To all – I appreciate you dropping by and sharing your thoughts here. Hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend.

Great sky watch post, still trying to see all the sky watch photos on Tom's blog.

Tina – I do feel blessed to have such views. Thanks for dropping by.

AnneKa – Thanks so much. I visited as many as I could on Friday and Saturday, but today I watched the Men’s Championship tennis match at Wimbledon … so methinks I’m not likely to get to everyone this week.

I hope you both had a delightful day.
Hugs and blessings,
