Imagine that!
I've only been blogging for about 8 months.

2. I've only had it since Monday, but I love my new Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop! I'm getting accustomed to Vista and figuring out how things work ... but the SPEED and MEMORY make blogging (and working with photos in PSE6) so much simpler! I can finally watch YouTube videos without locking up my computer, and I've whittled Google Reader's unread messages down to about 550 ... less than half of what I had when I finally opened it on Tuesday.
3. I shared a funny story (with a couple of lessons) at Sacred Ruminations on Thursday ... and (on Friday) I posted some more of what I've learned in my Photoshop Classes.
4. RDH Mom shared this 'Friday Funny' you might enjoy if you still need a laugh.
5. The Williams sisters (Venus & Serena) play against one another for the Championship at Wimbledon today and with each other on Sunday for the Doubles Trophy.
6. Roger Federer & Rafa Nadal will play for the Men's Championship on Sunday for the 3rd year in a row (after playing in the finals of the French Open 3 years running also). This has never been done before!

Congratulations to you, Storyteller, on the great readership. You have an interesting, uplifting blog, so I'm glad to hear it. :)

Also, that little bulldog is adorable!

Today while we were en route to a picnic, we saw the sign:

May the 4th be with you!

I just mention this because I know you enjoy funny plays on words. :)

"May the 4th be with you!"

That is too funny. Thank you Joyce!

Storyteller, you have many reasons to smile. Huge congratulations on the readership numbers.

MPJ – Thanks! I don’t check ‘stats’ often … don’t even know why I did so yesterday because it had probably been a few weeks since I looked, but perhaps ‘intuition’ sensed something I wasn’t consciously aware of? The Sacred Ruminations site has about half that number, but I’ve been posting there only about half the time (if that), so it makes sense.

Joyce – What a lovely compliment to discover this morning … Thanks so much! I love the sign and am glad you shared. Methinks I’ll tuck that away in my memory for use sometime in the future.

Leechebabe – I do feel blessed to be leading the ‘happily retired’ life I live and it’s nice to share ‘smiles’ on Saturday … so thanks for the invitation to do so.

Akelamalu and Sue
Lily is very cute … and belongs to a neighbor a couple of doors down. She’ll make a great playmate for Molly when she gets a little bigger … but they had fun meeting for the first time yesterday. I didn’t think to get my camera until later in the afternoon, so I didn’t capture them together.

To all – I appreciate your visit and comments. When I finish watching the Women’s Championship Match between Venus and Serena, I’ll be checking in with you. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

We have a bulldog and they are hands down the cutest puppies.

Congrats on the numbers...too cool! Isn't the blogworld grand?

Congratulations on such a wonderful milestone! Your puppy is adorable!

HRH – Methinks ALL puppies are cute … but I agree this little Bulldog captured my heart yesterday. Thanks … and yes, this ‘virtual world’ IS very ‘kewl’ indeed ;--)

Steven and Aisha – Actually, this little dog belongs to a neighbor. My Molly is a 3-year old Labrador Retriever … featured previously in Camera Critters here at Small Reflections.

Dina – I suspect they’ll be great friends. We’re fortunate to have ‘playmates’ in the neighborhood and Dog Beach just blocks away. Thanks … I do enjoy blogging, more than I thought I would.

Apple Debbie – That spot around her left eye looks like a ‘patch’ and I might have been tempted to name her Patches rather than Lily.

Christy – She has lots of personality and pizzazz … but was ‘hiding out’ in her carrier to avoid the crowds and the noise by the time I got my camera out. Thanks … who knew how much fun I’ve have as a blogger?

Tammy – Thanks … I do enjoy this virtual world immensely … especially now that I have my new laptop that makes everything easier.

To all – I appreciate you stopping by Small Reflections and enjoyed reading and responding to your comments here. I’ll be visiting blogs soon. Hope you’re all enjoying your Saturday.

Thanks so much for visiting today. I’m sure Lily would take all the attention anyone chooses to bestow. She’s a happier puppy today (as is Molly) now that it’s quiet again. Hope you’re all enjoying your weekend as much as I am.

Wow! 10,000! Impressive.

Lily is adorable. She's another puppy who should consider a feature at The Daily Puppy. What a sweetie. Hope she recovers from the fireworks trauma.

Daisy said...

I did not enjoy the noises last night, either. I had to spend the night hiding under the bed. Independence day is not for cats!

Congratulations on 10,000!

I love Lily. She's so adorable!

Tracey – I’m surprised to find this ‘milestone’ has been reached in just, but it DID make me smile.

Kahshe Cottager – Thanks … and I agree. Lily is a QT indeed ;--)

Tina – I do love this new computer. It’s so FAST … and does handy things my old one didn’t.

Raven – Hmm … I’ve got the Daily Puppy widget in my sidebar and enjoy the photos that show up. Perhaps I could look into submitting a photo or two. Thanks for the suggestion.

Daisy (the Curly Cat) – It’s a good thing Molly was snoozing when you stopped by to comment, but I can only imagine what the 4th of July is like for cats … watching Ms. Kitty and Molly deal with the noise.

Ari – Me too! Who knew there would be such a dramatic difference?
Anna – She IS a QT isn’t she? I was happy to share here.

To all – I hope you’ve had a delightful day. I appreciate you spending a bit of it here at Small Reflections.

Storyteller, when I saw the bulldogs a Beatles tune started running thru my head "... hey bulldog..." sorry I cannot remember the title of the tune. That's my story and believe you me I'm sticking to it.

Congrats on your site summary!

Rhea – I’m sure she’ll be fine (now that the 4th is over) … at least until NEXT year. I can’t get over how much your Lab resembles my Molly. Aren’t they wonderful dogs?

Indrani – thanks … I’m still surprised at the Site Meter info, though pleasantly so ;--)

Mike – ah … I know that song, but it didn’t occur to me until you mentioned it. Now it’s running through my mind! LOL

Babooshka – Thanks so much.

ShutterHappyJenn – I hope so too. Your ant photo was special this week!

Sandy (ibeati) – I’m delighted you think so. You have quite a sense of humor ;--)

Kittilicious – I take it you like the little Bull Dog. My Molly wants to play with your puppy … in or out of the water.

Dick – ‘Twas my pleasure … and thanks for stopping by here too ;--)

Gretchen – Thanks! I guess it helps to participate in some weekly memes so that folks know how to find me. Other than that, I have no clue, but I do visit lots of blogs whenever I can and always leave comments there (and responses here) … so perhaps THAT helps too?

B. Roan and Shannon
I sure think so too ;--)

To all – It’s cool to find your comments here. I spent most of today watching tennis … then did some blog visiting (after taking Molly for a long walk). I’m about to call it a night but wanted to respond before turning off the computer. I’ve visited most (if not all) of you … but will double check tomorrow to be sure I didn’t miss anyone. Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

I'm glad you both enjoyed meeting Lily. She’s not my dog but belongs to relatives of a neighbor, so as she grows … Molly will have another playmate. I did have a lovely week. It’s hard to believe it’s the weekend again … and time to come up with new Camera Critters & Smiley Saturday posts already. How time flies! LOL Hope you both had a wonderful week and that the weekend is filled with fun too.
