missus.mint and Deb – I love this ‘apricot’ rose more than the more traditional colors myself, and this particular bush is the most prolific I’ve ever grown!

Kittilicious – I can’t take too much credit. Living in Southern California blesses me with an early Spring.

MyBellavia – Thanks … for your visit, observational comment, and for the wonderful OSI prompt this week ;--)

Sue – ‘Tis my pleasure to do so … especially since so much of the country still has ‘wintery’ weather.

the teach – You know how I love Haiku … and gardening. Thanks for your feedback.

Ivanhoe – I’m always relieved when the roses ‘come back’ after we hack them back severely to nearly nothing. Hopefully yours will be in bloom colorfully soon.

Mar – Thanks for the visit and the link. I’ll be over to see yours soon.

How surprising and wonderful to find all your comments so early this morning. I’ve just created and published my 2nd OSI piece at Sacred Ruminations and eaten my cereal. Now I’ll be visiting to see what everyone else has shared today and I’ll begin with each of YOU ;--)

It's St George's Day here and tradition to wear a red rose but I think one of those would do just nicely!!

I so love that color! And I so wish I could grow roses (clay soil and lots of shade just don't do it)!

Storyteller,

I love your apricot rose bush. It's beautiful!!

Your, "How Much Have You Changed" in 10 years post spurred me to try it out and got me to thinking about the subject. I just posted it on my blog. Please come by if you have a chance. I'm glad you first posted this game - it was a lot of fun - thank you!

Hugs,
Tina

Storyteller,

I love that apricot rose. Like ivanhoe said, mu roses are just starting to bud leaves, so it will be a while before I have blooms. However, I'm thinking of changing my entire garden in the area of the roses. When hubby was in hospital a few years ago, that particular garden was greatly neglected for the entire summer. I need to tear everything out and redo it. Do you know if mature roses of about 15 years old can be transplanted?

Enjoyed my visit. Hope all is well with you.

Blessings,
Mary

Yay, it's summer already. Beautiful flowers just make my day. Your garden will soon burst in colors. Or is it already bursting with colors?

ChrisB – I’ve got red ones too, but this one steals the show in my yard each Spring!

Karen – Thanks and I’m sorry your soil won’t let you grow roses. Maybe in a pot? Roses like sunshine and not a lot of water.

Tina – I’m glad you enjoyed it and I’ll be over later to see what you’ve done with the quiz. Thanks for letting me know ;--)

SandyCarlson – These roses DO bring a smile every time I see them and promote lots of conversation from passers by when Molly and I are in the front yard.

Mary – Give them time … they’ll bloom too. You might recall from posts last Fall here, I ‘reclaimed’ my yard a couple of years ago after it had been sorely neglected and gotten out of control. I’m sure you can move them but you’ll need to cut them way back to do so … like with ‘bare root’ roses you can buy today.

LceeL –Thanks ;--)

Raven – What a lovely compliment on my Haiku … I just let the words flow as I looked at the uploaded photo and typed what emerged.

MamaMeji – I live in Southern California … so my yard’s been colorful for a couple of months. Irises and daffodils have come and gone … and now I’ve got a lovely Amaryllis and multiple roses in bloom. My citrus trees are also ‘in bloom’ and ‘setting’ new fruit.

Zoya – Interesting canon from Indian Tradition … thanks for sharing the good wishes and compliments ;--)

Greatfullivin – You’re more than welcome! I hope the ‘grandkids’ haven’t worn you out today.

Betty, Lisa Marie, and Akelamalu – Thanks so much for the kind words in your comments today.

I’m delighted to find your comments and am happy you’ve enjoyed today’s offering. If you’re waiting for your gardens to bloom, feel free to drop by any time. I’ve not had much time for blog visits yet today, but I’m hoping to see what you’ve shared as time permits … this afternoon and through the weekend.

Your roses are lovely. Does that particular rose have a nice scent as well?

Perfect verse for your picture and these are so pretty! Remind me of my grandma's prize roses and I love this colour!

Lori said...

Wow, I can almost smell them from here. Happy WW. I already left a comment on your other blog but jumped over here to check it out too:)

Momisodes said...

What beautiful roses! I've never seen them in that color on a bush :) You have such a green thumb.

Gardenpath – Thanks for your visit and comment.

Joyce – Everyone loves them as much as I do … and I’m told they smell wonderful but I don’t dare put my nose anywhere near them because my allergies would kick in.

Mother of Invention – I appreciate your visit and comment today. This is my favorite rose ;--)

Lori – Thanks for visiting and commenting on each of my blogs today.

Sandy – I’m not sure how ‘green’ my thumb is. I suspect much of the credit goes to the ‘climate’ here but I do spend time in my yard daily because I enjoy gardening.

I'm delighted to find all your comments this afternoon as I'm clearing out my email box and hope you're each having a wonderful week.
