It's St George's Day here and tradition to wear a red rose but I think one of those would do just nicely!!
I so love that color! And I so wish I could grow roses (clay soil and lots of shade just don't do it)!

I love that apricot rose. Like ivanhoe said, mu roses are just starting to bud leaves, so it will be a while before I have blooms. However, I'm thinking of changing my entire garden in the area of the roses. When hubby was in hospital a few years ago, that particular garden was greatly neglected for the entire summer. I need to tear everything out and redo it. Do you know if mature roses of about 15 years old can be transplanted?

SandyCarlson – These roses DO bring a smile every time I see them and promote lots of conversation from passers by when Molly and I are in the front yard.
Mary – Give them time … they’ll bloom too. You might recall from posts last Fall here, I ‘reclaimed’ my yard a couple of years ago after it had been sorely neglected and gotten out of control. I’m sure you can move them but you’ll need to cut them way back to do so … like with ‘bare root’ roses you can buy today.

Raven – What a lovely compliment on my Haiku … I just let the words flow as I looked at the uploaded photo and typed what emerged.
MamaMeji – I live in Southern California … so my yard’s been colorful for a couple of months. Irises and daffodils have come and gone … and now I’ve got a lovely Amaryllis and multiple roses in bloom. My citrus trees are also ‘in bloom’ and ‘setting’ new fruit.
