I also got Monday's sunrise! Wasn't it dramatic! I'm posting it for SkyWatch Friday (tomorrow afternoon). I also could have missed it if it wasn't for my dog...we seem to have some similarities in our lives!

A lovely mosaic. Incredible colors, individually and as a group.

I love the previous day's as well - they go well together.

Mmmmmm...tamales! Such a lovely sunrise! I've found that animals and small children are so much more intelligent than we are in many ways--including the knowledge of what's important. The beauty of that sunrise? Utterly important!

Good for Molly, it would have been a shame to miss this. Enjoy the tamale making. It sounds like a good way to spend time with family.

Yep, a world of difference between my "flocked" trees and your sunsets.

As usual, your beach scenes are the best! Our Galveston beach is fairly empty today as it is cold and windy here.
I will have to go down there to get some pictures for you. I might have old ones someplace. We used to live in Galveston County and would go quite often. Now we have moved to north of Houston and the beach is 101 miles south of us. We do have hills here, there aren't any further south.

I am sorry about your Nikon. I missed your telling about its demise. My Kodak bit the dust, Adi (our beagle) pulled it to the floor by the charging cord over a year ago. It had about 9,600 or so pictures. My new Sony is over 10,000. They both are pocket models.
..
Happpy MidWeek Blues! I'm doing that again this week.

Thanks for visiting my blog and telling me about the Kings Canyon fire. That sounds super scary. I live in the midwest but have enjoyed travel to the West since @ 1986. I, too, have camped in Kings Canyon. What I remember is the bears.

I bet you had loads of fun making tamales! Hubs made us some for Christmas dinner. :) Love your skies! Always!

Robin said...

Breathtaking.

Is your Nikon back from the shop yet? I desperately need to bring mine in, the sensors are filthy!

Linnea said...

I think those palm trees are enjoying the fiery show the sky is putting on too!
